Art as recipe

The Mudam Café, arranged by the French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, is the restaurant of the Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean by famous architect Ieoh Ming Pei. The space and the menu were conceived as an integral part of the museum visit, extending the multiple experiences to which visitors are invited to avail themselves during their discovery of the exhibitions in one of the country’s most beautiful pieces of architecture.

From noon to 3pm, the Mudam Café offers tasty cuisine composed of regional products and local specialities. Whether starters, main dishes or desserts, the art of eating well is tasted on a daily basis thanks to the freshness of the products allied with the marriage of flavours and an original presentation. The new “à la carte” menu is varied and doesn't forget to include a vegetarian and vegan offer without gluten as well. The suggestions being renewed every day, while a different Luxembourg speciality is offered every month.

The drinks menu is extensive and caters to all tastes: a variety of teas, coffees, organic fruit juices and lemonade, cocktails, wines from the Moselle (and the rest of the world) and a rich selection of Luxembourg beers at reasonable prices. The Mudam Café is also renowned for its brunch formulas (traditional and vegan lactose free) on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 3pm.

Every Wednesday evening, from 6pm to 11pm, Mudam Café hosts the Up to Eleven events, featuring musical playlists and live concerts and performances which are free to the public.

During its opening hours, the café is also able to cater for groups and to compose menus to order, arranged by its manager Pascal Aubert (t +352 45 37 85 970).
